What an idiot! I must have accidentally hit the TV button on the remote, that's why it wasn't working. I may have just flash erased my db completely unnecessarily. Is there a rank below junior member? If not maybe we should create one just for me.

I managed to fill up the disk (the built-in one, not an add-on) with a big file in /tmp and the remote control stopped working. Managed to telnet to the box but it wouldn't let me delete anything. Said there wasn't enough space! I tried a cold boot and flash erase and it's now at the stage...

Ok. Will the 1m dish give me anything that the 90cm won't? Visibility is not really a problem. It'll be on the roof and not visible from the ground. Is there any other drawback of having a larger dish?

Thanks Rolf. Placed my order and now the shop is recommending that I upgrade to a Funke 1m high gain dish or downgrade to an ISS 85cm/80cm because the Raven won't let me pick up anything that the 80cm won't. Is this good advice?

The kit contains 4 wall bolts and plugs, 1 x box of clips, 2 x F connectors, LNB sealing tape, 2 x wall bushes plus 10 or 20 meters of high grade satellite cable. But here's a thought: what powers the motor? Do I need to run a power cable up as well?

Just wondering if the web browsing experience on the dreambox is any good. I'm thinking about buying one and this could be the deciding factor. With only 64 megs to play with is it pretty basic or does it compare reasonably favourably with browsing on a PC? Is it comparably fast? I assume you...
