I lived in France for many years and speed cameras were nowhere near as common as in the UK - maybe things have changed. I found the bigger worry was those instant fines!

I know the Sky remote control can be coded to operate most televisions, but does the same apply to other decoder boxes from other manufacturers and if so, which ones? If not, I'll be tempted to keep my Sky box rather than by a new decoder as having to mess around with two handsets can be a pain...
