Hi there
A 3.0m dish in your area should be plenty big enough for job, and this is further backed up by your friends perfect picture just 20m down the street on a 2.7m.
I concur with the other posters advise to swap out the digiboxes to see if the fault dissapears of swaps. Also, make...
I would like to help, but unfortunately I am back in the UK for the forseeable future. This is the people that supply them:
Future Sat.

Now that they have the euro it might be quite easy for them to send one to you. They are called the Large Adjustable...
I must admit, I have no idea why the calculaors give such a wide variation in figures. My rational for what I said is purely based on experience. A tiny adjustment at a time - the smaller the better and spend a minute each time you make the adjustment watching the picture as 2d signal does...
Hi
The quad Invacom is better for 2D on port 2 or 3
If Coviello is getting better results with the large adjustable feed then that is the one to go for.
Have you bolted through the scalar ring on the existing feedhorn? Very bad if you have!
I cannot over emphasise the importance of EXACT...
Perhaps the info at the end of this post will help: http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/picture-members-setups-general-satellite-installations/98923-my-2-dishes-cyprus.html
Hope that helps

BBC/ITV are FTA therefore if they can't get a picture then chances are the dish is too small or not aligned correctly and they have no signal. Did the installer mention if they could receive anything off Astra 2D? If the dish is big enough then perhaps they are not selecting the correct BBC or...
They aren't all bad. The 500s with the Alps tuner is far more sensitive, in fact I would say it was comparable with the 430 though not as good as a 2600.

10mm will be ok though it may bow a bit. Make sure you have a bit of 2x2 at the corners and perhaps going around the middle too (but I have never required this) put a sprinkle of gravel at the bottom. and use loads and loads of nice free bolders in the center.
Cheers

Hard Luck fella ... Same thing happened to me a few years back ... still, look on the positive side - There is someone really nearby who can sort it for you!! :)
Did it pop the surge protector too? I thought Belkin gave warranties against these situations!

You are definately on 19.2e. I would also say that the motor is setup incorrectly. Has it been setup by yourself? Has it worked in the past?
Try having the receiver motor the dish 9 degrees east then manually adjust the elevation til you get the signal. It will tide you over for now.
this...
I assume you get everything else you should eg ITV etc and therefore the sat dish is pointed correctly etc.
First reboot the receiver to see if that cures the fault. Next try a different frequency such as 10788 v 22000 or any other at http://www.lyngsat.com/astra2d.html
Can you test...
AND that they can be extended to 3.1m if required rather than getting a new dish if for instance, the signal weakens.
AND that they can be fine adjusted Az & El by a person with limited ability and equipment when using the polar mount and threaded Az Bar, which also makes them easy to install...
You will get some BBC and a little more ITV Anglia but you will be in a constant state of dissapointment. Better to shell out the extra for a 3.8m (or Bigger) dish. The standard of receiver also has a vote in the BBC - Can I/Cann't I debate.
Merry Xmas
