    BBC Parliament

Thanks - following your post I searched again, still no luck - I then went through every channel I had on Tp 50 and found three of them were actually broadcasting BBC Parliament, but called themselves "Shop Smart", TV STRM2 and TV DEV2 - obviously I just had to update the name manually, but it...

    BBC Parliament

It's not the worst problem in the world, but BBC moved the Parliament channel recently and I can't pick it up any more. Apparently it's now on transponder 50 on Astra 2D, but I've searched that transponder on my Technomate 5500DACi and it doesn't find it Any suggestions please?

    "F" Plugs (Very sad question....)

Screwfix do 10 screw-on F plugs for 90p - they work too. They also do 100m "PH100" cable (air-spaced, copper braid, copper foil) for £23.49, so you only have to spend another £22 before you get free post and packing too.

    French Channels

As I understand it, French analogue channels will remain at 5 W until they sort out their digital terrestrial TV distribution. Atlantic Bird is used to feed the French analogue terrestrial transmitters (it was not intended for direct reception by individuals). As they have only just started...

28.2E FTA digital and 5W FTA analogue

Thanks very much for confirming my proposed setup sounds ok - after your 5546 posts (!) it must be irritating dealing with what must for you be elementary questions, but speaking personally, I really appreciate people who know taking the time and trouble to help those who don't. Thanks again...

28.2E FTA digital and 5W FTA analogue

Thanks for the reassurance - maybe the guy at Technomate said "analogue" to mean RF and "digital" to mean SCART, I thought perhaps the receiver needed to "understand" the different transmission standards. Reception of terrestrial French TV is appalling where I am in France (back of beyond...

28.2E FTA digital and 5W FTA analogue

I am planning a two dish system for installation in the South of France, one to receive 28.2E FTA digital channels (80cm dish), one to receive 5W FTA analogue channels (60cm dish). I have a multisystem Thomson TV set (PAL/NTSC/SECAM), and was planning to buy a Technomate 5500AD receiver and use...
