I already have a sky subscription. Am i correct in saying that if i buy a sky plus box and pair the box with my viewing card sky wont charge me an extra monthly cost for the recording facility? i thought this used to be £10 a month? when did this change? :confused:

Is a diseqc motor powered only by a digibox or is there another power supply im not noticing in any of the photos of installs? Is a sky star 2 capable of moving a motor with no extra power?

Dont know if this a new feature or not but I upgraded by box last week to a new thompson model and now when you press the backup button twice in quick succession it will change the picture mode to 4:3 and back again, quite handy for pictures sent over a wireless video sender with no tvlink. Can...

Well this is what I did anyway. Only problem is the IR signals now received through the smart blaster no longer change the resolution to 4:3 as supposed to 16:9 (used to work before) Not sure if this can be fixed? :-hny

probabaly a stupid question but is it possible to put a monoblock on a sky minidish (75 x 55cm) to get astra and hotbird only? I assume the dish would be too small but i thought i might as well ask. :-hny

Can anyone suggest a plan for the following.. . sky digi box dvd recorder (no coax out) 1 tv via coax to another room (amplified by a tv link T120 AMP (powered by sky RF2) ) (too far away to use video sender) 1 tv via video sender (with remote extender) (coax wire to this tv not possible)...

Would a sky digibox have enough to power the omnilink aswell as a tvlink T120 amplifier and still be able to control 2/3 devices?!

i bought a couple of rev 8 sky remotes off ebay. I believe the one on the left in the picture below is a copy .. is there any checks i could make?

forget that last comment. changing the RF channel seemed to make a huge difference

right ive chaged things to the attatched, my idea was to aviod reducing quality for the freeview boxes. maybe im expecting too much but my picture is just the same - a little snowy. Could it be the cable quality?

everything installed. not sure if the diplexer may be affecting the amplifier though. Would turning off the 9v supply from the sky box off stop the amp working? When i tried it the light on the amp was still on? but there was no visible difference in picture quality
