Installing Dishes In Spain for 2E Chit-Chat

Madridman Ican reccomend a madrid based installer to you , he wasnt the cheapest that I found but hes work is damm solid. In the heaviest of downpours ( recall our Feb weather ) here I have not lost a single 2e or 2f channell ( but did lose 2a North ). That is on a 150cm ( 1.5 x 1.65 ) with...

Sky box office using Broadband callback from outside UK

Does one not need open ports / port forwarding for this callback feature ? Is so then it would be impossible over a shared VPN , since there are many clients behind a single IP . Ie its a limitation of shared IP VPN as oppossed to Sky going to an obscure but extreme effort to p*** off people...

    SkyGo Blocked with VPN?

The worst that would happen is that your out of pocket for 4 / 6 quidish in that situation , not a drama.. Though over the last few months In trying different cheaper vps options Ive never had a problem. People with seedboxes for torrents the odd time will run afoul of TOS but that traffic has...

    SkyGo Blocked with VPN?

Its also against skys terms and conditions to watch sky or skygo outside the UK ;) The better plan is one with a bandwidth allowance as they dont throttle the connection.

    SkyGo Blocked with VPN?

for 4 quid a month you have have your own vps with 100gb data , 7 - 8 quid a month 1TB. Open VPN or lt2p takes about 5 minutes to configure , 15 if your following a tutorial. This way you avoid bottleknecked servers at peak times too.

Astra 2E: Iberia & Balearics Reports

The only two TPS i actively keep an eye on are BBC one HD ( 2f ) and bbc two HD ( 2 e ). When first launched watching over a 24 hour period 2e was consistantly weaker than 2F. Now they are the exact same strenght here in Madrid. Im watching them enough to compare times of day as appropriate...

Astra 2E: Iberia & Balearics Reports

Hueovos I shiuld have been clear this was two months before 2F was put into operation. Not all dish installers are created equally. Indeed many it appears took advantage of 1N taking over from 2D and i found many adverts expounding the coverage of the " new sattelite " whilst omitting that it...

I should have thought to filter out the weather differences the most obvious measure is the change when you adjusted the antenna ?

A lot of those people probably have a 1 meter dish installed by somebody who knew but didnt care a change was coming. I found a few "friendly" installers here in Madrid quite willing to install a 1m for me before an honest put me straight about the imminent launch of 2F.
