Quad lnb for weak signal (2020)

Yea, I would love to get a bigger dish, but I am at the max size already (85cm) due to physical constrainments. .. so I am playing with LNB's... and anything else...

Quad lnb for weak signal (2020)

I ordered some Inverto Premium PLL LNB's to replace my 3-4 year old Telestar ones. I'd like to point out that the Inverto's are not really black, but more of a dark blue color...good...now that I got the important technical observations/details out of the way, I'll move on to the performance...

Quad lnb for weak signal (2020)

I'm in Switzerland pointing at Astra 4A with a 85cm FUBA dish. I have a tree/shrub about 3m tall about 5m in front of the dish. I trimmed as much as I could of it, and I'm getting the Europe and Nordic BSS beams fairly good on standard definition, but the HD is borderline especially in bad...

Quad lnb for weak signal (2020)

I'm picking up standard def channels OK, but as alot move to HD (8PSK) they are now becoming "fringe" reception channels :/ From what I recall, Inverto Black Ultra always got alot of praise for fringe reception, but I beleive that LNB has been around a while. Is that still valid in 2020? Are...

Top Tip A reminder - Ukrainian channels to encrypt in January

Prices for Ukraine packages are much different than Germany and West EU. Prices for XTRA TV packages are around 5 EUR per month for about 100 channels. Not bad.

    Twin cam?

Thanks, I saw that adapter also, but wasn't too sure, as my TV is a Sony Bravia (with it's own OS), so I'm a little skeptical it would work. I did see a couple of TV's with dual CAM slots, but not many. Altho Panasonic had a few... ...another thought, is there anything like an in-line CAM? Like...

    Twin cam?

Ok, thanks, but generally speaking, I guess CAMs only decrypt the type they are made for? I have an old VIACCESS CAM and put my Cable TV card in there and it didn't work :/ SO I assume it won't work in the VeriMatrix CAM either :( I guess then I have to either switch CAMs depending on what I'm...

    Twin cam?

Ok, thanks for the response :) However, I just found out that the SAT subscription provider doesn't use a card, but a CAM instead :/ It's XTRA TV (Ukraine), they have the VeriMatrix ecryption built right into the CAM. So in this case, my next question would be: -Can the VeriMatrix CAM read the...

    Twin cam?

I have one CAM slot in my TV that I currently use for Cable-TV. I'd like to buy a satellite TV package which would also require the use of a CAM slot. Is there any way I can use one CAM for 2 cards? I would the Diableo CAM 2 (Diablo CAM) but one card has to be in "SIM" format (??) My cards are...

    CAM for Viasat 4.8E NDS-Videoguard

I was thinking, is it possible to somehow connect the CI+ slot in my TV to the decoder box? ie: to have the LNB connected to my TV DVB-S2 tuner, and just use the VIASAT box as an external "CAM" (ie: decrypting the signal and sending it to the TV tuner)?

    CAM for Viasat 4.8E NDS-Videoguard

Ok, thanks for the (bad) news. :( I have 2-3 subscriptions ot cable and SAT TV, it would be nice if the providers would sell the card with option of box or CAM. ...but that would be too customer-friendly I guess :-saw

    CAM for Viasat 4.8E NDS-Videoguard

:-Guill Argh. Are you certain? Why is that? They have some special decoder in the box? I found a CAM "SMIT NDS/Videoguard Professional CAM" that won't work?

    CAM for Viasat 4.8E NDS-Videoguard

Hi, I plan to buy a VIASAT subscription in Ukraine for the channels on 4.8E. They sell the card and box together, but since my TV has a SAT tuner and CI+ slot built in, I'd like to buy a CAM to stick in there and watch directly on my TV (without the use of the external box). Does anyone know...
