Cheers ,I will stick with the Mutant HD51 for the time being so. Hopefully the hisilicon might offer better picture quality down the line ,once the drivers improve.

Whats the picture quality like on this ,especially SD ? I've tried a load of receivers since the Alien 2 which was SH4 based and the picture quality on all of them has been inferior. Even the Mutant HD51 which is Arm based and I'm currently using isn't much better than standard Mips receivers...

Just to update this thread,I have bought the T90 dish and I am currently installing it on a pole at the bottom of the garden . I will keep ye posted .

I have the same meter ,branded differently as the Satlink 6906 though. Its a grand meter for the money ,I've used it for a number of installs and realignments for friends and family. Its available for less than £70 now on Ebay or similar sites,I'd recommend it .

Thats some going especially considering the ISS 80 is a small 80cm dish ,its only 73cm by 80cm.

According to the Triax site its 70cm wide and 78cm high.Sounds right too,no way its 57cm wide.

24" brackets is overkill for the T90 looking at your pics. The back of your house looks like its facing due south so the T90 will be centred ~10e ( assuming 12w to 28e) so it wont be angled too much in towards the wall,it will be fairly parallel. As someone with 24" T brackets myself ,I wouldnt...

The bootloader in the Gemini 4.7 image doesnt work on clone receivers,it causes it to stall at bootup like you encountered.

Sorry ,thats what I meant to type Saorview ,not Saorsat,I have edited it now. Irish DTT (Saorview) uses MPEG-4 video compression over a DVB-T broadcasting infrastructure. All channels bar RTE2 are broadcast in SD,RTE2 is HD . A 600T is only capable of decoding Mpeg-2 so its of no use.

I'm afraid not. Saorview is Mpeg4 and a 600T is Mpeg2 only.

Those 518 receivers are garbage . I bought one last year and the tuner in it was faulty too,it had huge ber on every channel. I dont like the way the tuner is surface mounted on the main board,I prefer the Dm500 tuner design . The 518 is very flimsy build quality and has no scart connection.

Good lord ,a 30 degree span on a 60cm dish ,that seems to defy alot of what I have read about multi lnb dish setups.Crazy

I too have been following Sky Italy card prices on Ebay for the last while. That guy Wod mentioned is selling a 12 month prepaid sub for 2 basic packs plus 1 of Sports/Calcio for 213 euro delivered ,which is almost too good to be true...

Is 3 degree spacing possible with those holders ?
