If you are going to slag off a company then get your facts right. Snapsat don't work with Astrosat, they did work with future for a while but now they are the main importer for the DH dishes.
Snapsat don't buy any 2.5 dishes, I have been in their store and is it littered with old 2.5m...
Tested extensively the minibox and the Pace 2600 in Cyprus and the 2600 is far superior.
They may have stopped making the minibox but there are still plenty on the matket.
I think you are being a bit premature.
You do not need a motor. We set up larger dishes than this without a motor. I would have thought that a 2M would be big enough in Sweden assuming you have a decent lnb etc
Sorry but I have to disagree with you there.
An extended 2.4 is never as good as a 2.7m solid, I have measured plenty of them and the 2.7m solid if fitted properly gives much better readings. I don't think luck enters the equation at all.
Don't know where you get these prices from but the...
Found out some time ago that the 2.7 works fine in Limassol. Some companies would tell you otherwise to get you to buy a bigger dish. I've done a couple down that way and they work fine it's just that generally it is too far to travel. I have a friend down Larnaca way who is now picking it up on...
Yes it's in Paphos down bar street.
Signal wise on my meter with a 2.7 I am happy with a BER of 1 x 10-5 or at best touching about 7 x 10-6 on BBC
with this one I was achieving 10-8 steadily.
I think you are right it was used to transmit, the omt and bits are still there.
It was actually a second hand one bought for £1200
Those bits on the back are de-icers, not much of a need for them in Cyprus.
When I found it some local lad had tried to set it up as a prime focus by the angle he...
Should be safe enough I have just fitted an offset on the roof of a bar which has a concrete roof 30 cm thick. The dish measures 4.2m bt 3.8m. Great reception. Here is a picture.
I used 12mm and 16mm bolts to secure it.
I have to say that I have stopped using the Grundigs as they do not seem to like the varying signal level, it upsets them and then you need to go through all this power up and down nonsense.
I think you will all like this one.
The BBC have an office in Nicosia with the sole purpose of chasing the hotels and bars for royalties.
I have a friend with a hotel who receives BBC1 and they are demanding 3 thousand pounds per year in royalties. He did point out that the BBC say this...
