My dish is just up the road and I cannot see how they can view the {astra} satellites - was passing when it just triggered 'what the heck'. I agree that no cable appeard to be linked however why would you set this up without checking the signal?

You can run a dreambox from your Mac using vlc and a web browser. Watch and record. All you need is a network connection (wireless will do if it's fast enough to stream). Check out the dreambox idiots guide.
