No problem VS, the LNB is now actually sold anyway :) I still lost money no thanks to satshop.tv but at least I got a more than half of it back and someone else has got themselves a top quality LNB at a good price :)
Thanks also to kungu for bumping my post.
At least you got a bit further than I did with someone who speaks (or is prepared to speak) English but it's not good if you've sent money and they still haven't sent you the goods.
You could try "hm-sat shop" who sell the Ultra Black range of LNBs as well although they are also based in...
I got the Raven Gemini dish from Falconsat but I recommend that you avoid them like the plague because although I did eventually get the goods I ordered, like a lot of other people it wasn't without problems (have a read of this thread). I suggest you either search Google for an alternative...
I don't have experience of many types of LNB but I dare say you're probably right. I'm certainly impressed so far with a 20% increase in signal strength.
The 2 single output Inverto LNBs I have are Black Ultras and the quad output one I have is a Black Premium.
If anyone is interested in an...
Yep, I got my Inverto Black Quad LNB from Southern Satellites on eBay. They only seem to do the Premium range though and not the Ultra range so if it's the Ultras you want then you will still have to look at getting those from Germany unfortunately.
Just an update to this...
It would help if whoever answers the phone at satshop.tv could speak some English. I tried twice with no luck. Unfortunately I don't speak any German.
I had no real choice in the end but to cut my losses so I just purchased a different model of Inverto Black LNB that...
Well nearly 4 months later after a load of grief with satshop.tv, I finally purchased some new Inverto Black LNBs from a UK supplier instead. I fitted them last weekend and difference they have made is almost unbelievable.
Where I was previously only ever getting 70% on a good day with the MTI...
Well I have just received a letter this morning from my credit card company and after telling me over the phone last week that they should be able to get my money back they are now telling me that they can't and that I will have to speak to PayPal. So I am going round and round in circles...
You're absolutely right...I guess if they'd sent me the correct items in the first place I wouldn't have had any need to try and get in touch with them in which case I would have been happy but also oblivious to the fact that they clearly have ZERO after sales customer service. This is basically...
From my experience with purchasing goods from German company satshop.tv (trading under the company name of "Tirpanci Ltd"), I felt I should warn people who are thinking of dealing with them.
Back in June I bought some satellite equipment using their online store (_http://www.satshop.tv). While...
Just a quick update...
Be aware of ordering anything from satshop.tv. I received the LNBs two weeks ago but one of them was not what I'd ordered. I've sent 3 emails to satshop.tv over the past week and a half (both via direct email and also using their web based contact form) but have received...
@HB13DISH - As I have a fairly simplistic setup for practical rather than experimental use, I have no plans to expand to additional boxes thus the reason I only need single output LNB's pointing at 13.0E and 19.2E.
@Analoguesat - Thanks for the advice on the MTI Bluelines. However, as I already...
I'm glad you the Invertos have been mentioned because I was doing a bit a research last night and they do seem to get good reviews. They also do a range with a black casing which would be perfect for my all black setup :)
I think I'll try a couple of the Black Ultra (IDLB-SINL40-ULTRA-OPP) ones...
Thanks for the replies :)
The skew is pretty much spot on and as already mentioned, the single output MTI LNBs always look a bit odd because with zero skew the F-connector socket comes out at a 45 degree angle.
We mainly watch the Russian channels on 13.0E (single ouput LNB) so I'm not sure...
I have a 70cm Raven Gemini dish with 3 LNBs on (my setup can be seen HERE). In the mornings when it's sunny the signal level on some channels drops low enough that we completely lose the signal on those channels.
As the sun moves round later in the day the problem disappears so the key factor...
