So I started with the Jaegar 1224 (reinforced version). Pretty much a heavy duty version of the Motech. It carried the 1.5m Gibertini ok but is not reliable tracking the arc. Has too much lash. Had to keep tweaking with the remote of the G-box. In the end I gave up and switched to an actuator...
There are not many boxes left that take an internal 2.5" disc. Probably the cheapest is the Zgemma H7S (with 2x DVBS2 tuners and 1x DVB-T2) at 130 GBP. HDD just slides in the back; you don't even need to dismantle it.
6.4 is an old image. You should update. Or switch to another image, e.g. OpenViX. That way you will you will be able to see if your problem is caused by the image you are running, or if the hardware is broken.
Also try switching the aerial leads to the opposite tuners and see if the problem...
This is wishful thinking. BBC One HD and 6945 both have the same Video PID 5400 and the same Audio PID 5401, i.e. they are two labels leading to the same video stream.
I don't do Freesat boxes. For UK TV I do enigma2 boxes. Set them up beforehand. Sky or Freesat numbering and 7 day EPG. I've got customers of all ages, especially older ones and they love them.
