    Manhattan keeps executing remote commands

Ir there anyone with lots of knowlegde regarding the Manhattan Starlight receivers? Mine has a curious problem. Sometimes, after sending a remote command (e.g. channel up) the receiver keeps executing this command like scrolling. Even with the remote out of sight. I checked the remote with my...

anyway to receive Eurobird2 25.5E in The Netherlands?

No chance. In the Netherlands we are way out of the footprint. Some members with lagers dishes (1,80m) didn't get any signal either. Jakenl Update: Someone in Eastern Netherlands managed to get a signal on 11100 V 2590 with 120cm Deltastar Gregorian dish with picture

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

I am curious, you do have a permission for a 1,20m dish but not for a motor? Most of the time it's the sight of a mounted dish that's bothering people. A motor is nearly visible so that can't be the problem. And if you use it only at daytime probably no one would complain. There's so much more...

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

The horizontal transponders of Nilesat are too weak for me. I can't receive any of them. Most verticals are no problem but Nilesat is much weaker here than Insat4 because of the footprint. I think that goes for Belgium as well. Unfortunately a bigger dish is no option for me due to local...

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

Hi. You can't compare Insat4 with Astra/Hotbird. These sats are much stronger because we are in the middle of the footprint. Insat4 is weaker but very well to receive. The weather though will have much influence on the signal, which can be the difference between picture or no picture. For these...

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

@ Turok, Probably the signal in Austria of 80E is just strong enough. You are just within the footprint. Here in Holland no signal at all. Jakenl

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

@ Canofan, Right now it is very difficult to test signal strengths due to very bad weather. I will let you know when the sky has cleared and the strong winds are gone, okay? Jakenl

    Express AM1 (40E)

Yes, I can receive Express AM1 but there's not much to see. Now, the only channel I can watch is TV Uzbekistan on 11097 H 4000. It depends very much on the weather whether a tp can be received or not.

    Is Reception of Intelsat4 72° E possible?

11533 gives me about 73% signal, in fact, it is the strongest TP of this sat for me. I can even receive ABS-1 at 75 east but that's my limit. Not because of the elevation but further east there are simply no more KU-tp's with a european beam. Jakenl
