Brilliant!! That was exactly what I was after.... this should get me started!
Its for my 78 year old father! He only needs free to air, european TV, no point in investing in top notch kit, he's used to the remote etc trying to teach him a new remote would be painful!
So I'm after...
Thanks Tivu...
I've used the Autoscan feature, only about 400 channels picked up... sure there used to be about 800+ on hotbird, hence thinking the satellite transponder details need updating on the box, so was wondering what software would allow me to do this :)
Hi there
Years ago I had great fun setting up and tinkering with my KAON Setup with motorised dish.. however I fried the box few years back. Sometimes it just happens!!!!
At the same time I set up an Lidl Special (!!!!) for my parents.... Silvercrest SL65, reading around these boxes are...
I mounted on a pole which has been attached to a concrete fence, a friend kindly made me the brackets:

you have to put in the degrees of the satellite you are trying to receive, (Satellite Orbit) and for your own site longitude and latitude, go into multimap and type in your postcode...
So, back to the original question... was this answered? I seem to have sound but no pictures for these 2 channels, (xplustv and inxtc tv).. is it a key issue or something else?
Cheers
It is interesting, hope it works well, I can understand why you would want to do it as a dropshipper as the profits are there for the making.
However who would the customer turn to if they had a faulty unit? I presume yourself as the dropshipper as you have entered a contract of sale directly...
"It's a change to nano 51 05, so don't hold your breath. It could be some time."
Whats a nano change? I've searched the forum and google but don't seem to find a simple explination!
Cheers

No.. a dish is not like a TV aerial, it has to be quite pointed quite specifically the transmitting satellite, as i found out when i set my system up, a millimetre up, down left or right when aligning the dish can make all the difference. Invest in a satellite meter, they are about £10 on ebay...
I'm new to patching, and am considering patching my receiver, Manhattan 3300, which is a Kaon clone.
The thing is I'm quite concerned I'll fry the receiver and mess it up, is it possible to read what software is on the receiver first and save this?
So if I do mess up, it's possible to reload...
