    Eutelsat Hot Bird 13F & 13G

Exactly and another thing is the fact the receiver can't show more than 99 % even if real value is much higher. So absolutely best is if the values are shown in dB.

No signal in SE Scotland, weak signal in Finland and a very good signal in Sweden in between shows a very narrow beam.

    Even if values in percentage don't say that much here are the values at my place (1,1 m antenna): 12616 H: 90-92 % 12635 V: 96-98 % 12654 H: 90-92 % 12673 V: 92-94 % 12713 V: 93-95 % Most other transponders on Hotbird show 99 % (a couple show 95-97 %). The Vivacom transponders showing so high...

The only thing I know for sure is I'm definitely not the man to tell if there are more than one beam on 13 F/G. Maybe the future will tell...

Lyngsat had them on 13 F with a super beam last time the package was up.

All channels are back and FTA. Some channels which are FTA at 13 E and 45 E are encrypted at 1,9.E.

12616 H, 12635 V, 12673 V and 12713 V back on. 12654 H not active! Very strong signal! EDIT: 12654 H also active now! All channels with EPG now! The channels which were on 12654 H are on other frequencies now. As an example City TV was on 12654 H but is on 12635 V now and so on.

    Octagon SF8008 OR VU+ Duo 4K SE?

Here is 11053 H by far the most problematic. With the SF8008 (not the Supreme version) I can get a couple of hours in the morning and the evening. Same thing with the VU+ DUO2. With the VU+ DUO 4K SE I can get it almost 24/7 if the weather isn't to bad.

    Octagon SF8008 OR VU+ Duo 4K SE?

I bought a SF8008 but since it doesn't have a CI-slot I bought a VU+ Duo 4K SE too. I must say I'm more satisfied with the VU+. However the price of the VU+ is almost twice as high.

To put it very simple 8PSK uses less bandwidth than QPSK for the same data rate.

    Eutelsat Hot Bird 13F & 13G

DVB-S2 8PSK = more efficient technology. Allows higher bitrate than QPSK. It's said Sky will change some remaining DVB-S channels to DVB-S2 on 28 E in the near future. Don't know if they'll use 8PSK or QPSK.Today the use both! 11386 H/V, 11426 V on Astra 2E use DVB-S2 QPSK but most DVB-S2 use...

    Eutelsat Hot Bird 13F & 13G

Which value you need depends on which technique is used and the FEC. DVB-S2 8PSK needs a stronger signal than DVB-S and DVB-S2 QPSK. FEC 2/3 needs less than 5/6 or 7/8. This is shown in the table above. The Bulgarian channels are transmitted using DVB-S2 8PSK and FEC 5/6 which is much harder to...

On Enigma-2 receivers it depends on which skin you use.

    The signal seems stable now (same level yesterday and today). 12616 H: 15,1 dB 12635 V: 15,3 dB 12654 H: 15,1 dB 12673 V: 14,6 dB 12713 V: 14,9 dB This with an 1,1 Triax Antenna.

How is the signal on the H transponders (12616 and 12654)? Here there is no difference between V and H.
