Having had the exact same problems I can tell you are tearing your hair out like i was anyway the simple facts... If using OE1.5 image the smargo has to be in DREAMBOX mode and has to be set in the smargo windows utility running in ADMINISTRATOR mode in anything higher than XP or the changes...
