Just returned to the Var near Bandol after a long absence. Diddlysquat on UK channels, and just a few EU obscurities. Cannot say my 1m Gibby is perfectly aligned though since I don't possess a meter of any kind
I used the Gibby multi LNB holder in a fixed dish setup at my holiday cottage in France . The dish (a 1m Gibertini) was aimed at 28.2 East with the prime focus LNB on one end of the arm, and the other lnb's hanging off to one side. I needed this arrangement to pull in Astra2 near the Med...
OK, down arrow-red Button-blue button takes me to my favorites from wherever I am. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Now I just need a way to configure page up/down buttons to move swiftly down a channel list and life would be sweet...
Thanks for responding. With perseverance I've I've managed to answer most of my questions. I have a functioning epg, picons and a basic favorites bouquet.
I've not yet succeeded in re-mapping the page up/down button to move rapidly through the All Channels bouquet, and I've not figured out how...
Not wishing to hijack Stevenvc19's recent thread on the Mio, but I find myself in the same boat. Total Linux newbie and youth is not on my side either.
Notwithstanding, my Mio 4k+ is up and running on Openvix (of sorts). The receiver is talking to the dish, and the dish is correctly tracking...
... I only have to enter the Diseqc 1.2 settings, on the new receiver, to match those on my V-Box...
Thanks. I was rather hoping that that was all I was required to do when just changing the receiver
Thanks Mickha for confirming.
It's an old Technomate box, non-E2.
One oddity is that the lat/long settings in the old box differ from those shown in dishpointer, by about 0.1 degrees in each case, yet the dish correctly tracks the arc. Do I just keep the Technomate settings when swapping out...
Well, my Edision Mio has just been delivered, so I'm about to take my first tentative steps into the world of Linux, attempting a motorised setup install guided by an Openvix manual written in 2014.
'Use the Vhannibal channel list' said the man. Is this bundled/embedded in Openvix, or do I have...
My 5402 M3 packed up last October (IR sensor not responding to remote). Spoke to them and they advised probably unrepairable due lack of replacement parts. The man did say though that the Mk4 was coming in November 20. Since then, nothing.

The Mio 4k+ gets praise for its build quality, and fits my budget.
Would you consider the Mio to be reasonably user-friendly as regards the initial scanning in for a motorised setup, using the menus within the pre-installed image that comes with the box? The Mio manual makes no...
Thanks all for the feedback. The TechniSat had caught my eye, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have USAL's (strange?) which would complicate matters for me.
My ageing Technomate 6902 has performed well (courtesy of an excellent motorised install by Captain Jack a few years ago), but the time has come to retire it to the holiday cottage for occasional use if I ever get to return. For my budget of around £250 I am drawn to the Vu+ Uno, but I have...
