Thanks Paul - So I checked my Transmitter - its a Repeater (Aldeburgh) - transmitting Freeview Lite. So there's the answer to the missing Multiplex Groups. What about the HD channels - are they on Freeview Lite? Not picking them up. Should I be?
Richard
So Freeview has arrived in East Suffolk - all that time spent with Freesat and dishes could be a thing of the past - maybe even a Welcome back "Dave"
Took me a few weeks to find some coax and some aeiel connectors - but eventually got around to connecting a Samsung LE26R41 to the aeriel...
Before the scan, BBC1 (East) was channel 101
Now its channel 5**1
Channel 101 (and all its 3 digit mates) have been swapped into a 4 digit family.
Can I create a new channel 101 - and move 5**1 to newly created 101?
AND (nothing like getting another question in)
What do you guys mean by...
Just got my Humax PVR Freesat box - quite happy with it all
Setting it up was OK - no real issues.
Mrs asked whether we could add some more of the free channels - so I used the "manual add channels" part of the menu and got everything from 28.2 - including all the scrambled stuff - obviously...
That's what I thought about the lnb
Its a Cambridge Industries GEO Universal G96 lnb (probably came out of the ark.
Any recommended sites for replacements (and models)
Only needed for the kids FTA stuff
Thanks again
Richard

One is connected to a receiver with SKY card (monthly subscription jobby) - and works fine.
The other is connected to a SKY receiver with a Free to View card inserted - picks up BBC3 / BBC4 etc.
The one with...
Just seen the announcement about FreeSat
I live in the middle of nowhere (according to Digital signal land) and can only pick BBC3 / 4 ITV2 etc via SKY
I understand that you need a receiver to pick up the signal - but would it be a simple case of unplugging my SKY Box and plugging in a new...
Thanks for that
So, here's a picture of the aerial - its the back one (I think) that can receive Freeview
Haven't got the nerve to go knocking on the guys door asking questions that I don't understand.
Any thoughts?
Richard
I've moved to an area where Digital FREEVIEW is not available - but I know a chap down the street has manged to pick up the signal and watches FREEVIEW through a FREEVIEW receiver.
I had a chat with him - he inherited the stuff when he moved in - has no knowledge of the aerial etc.
Are there...
SKy card will be OK if you are only looking for BBC / ITV / 4 / 5 etc
Might take a few hours to pick up ITV stuff - but it will do in the end.
You'll only need a new decoder
