Have read through this thread. It has to be something so obvious, you are missing it. Are you on Hispasat for absolutely certain? Is your Technomate tuned to a FTA 30w channel that is known to be functioning? ( Check at Lyngsat ). DiseQc settings? Cannot think of anything else, and sorry if...

No you should not lose your settings...but why would you need to update at the Technomate Site?...If your receiver is working..leave it as it is.

Not a patch, just key changes, available at numerous places if you cannot access Alsat.

Yes there is a patch available, unfortunately it is by jtag method which involves making up a cable and opening the receiver, not very straightforward, but possible.

I have used the Kaon 570 and a Technomate 1000D. The Kaon is far better, but avoid the one with the hard drive, it isn't as well supported as the standard one. Kaon's have numerous sources of support, not just one..:eek: I agree with rolfw, the Technomates are a bit over rated/ over priced in...

Kaon 230 in Spain for 55 Euro's, Comag 55 from Lidl's Uk etc. or fleabay..all very flexible and cheap, work as well as a Technomate ( in my opinion ). The best receiver of many that I have used is the M Vision 7000, quite dated, but still very well supported. Personally I don't like the menu...

They are going to get your dosh, one way or another, charges for credit card and debit card payments...extra taxes etc. etc. Some charge for baggage items over length as well now. Thonsonfly are the worst for extra taxes. Ryanair for almost anything. It will not be long before they charge...

I have found the Sharp ( White ) 0.3 lnb performs far better than the Invacom 0.3 lnb at about half the price. I noted that our local Sat Dealer in Spain uses them at his shop. They are 15 Euros + IVa in Spain, may be worth a try.
