I have got this error message with CCam 2.1.4 on DB8000 running Gemini a couple of days ago. I had to ring $ky and re-pair the Viewing card with the original Pace box before it started unscrambling again. Is this just on off fluke or are the big boys up to something? Anybody else with the same...
I found the card temperature staying very low in the internal reader of DM8000 when using a large slow rotating fan installed right above the power supply. It creates enough draft in the card slot and keeps the system temperature at or below 30C even with the HDD running.
Thanks shumifan50, I am following this thread since its conception and was hoping that there was some last minute change to the DB pairing. Well, it sounds like I have to go for some aftermarket sky receiver in the end. I just hate wasting money before Xmas.
I have Newcs 1.67 and mgcamd 1.31 working on DB7000 guessing by the debug messages on card id 0963 but no picture.
Was the pairing of the new white card resolved on the Dreambox or do I have to head for eBay and get a second hand box to wake up this sleeping beauty? My old Pace Box died a few...
I have the old BOX id so in theory might be able to pair it once the soft CAM development advances, the question is will it get there in time? I will hold off until the blue card completely expires and bet on clever programmers fixing the soft CAM code :-)
Thanks anyway, B16MCC
Is there any way to initialize the new white card without a $ky receiver? Mine unfortunately died 3 years ago. Do I need to get a second hand receiver to pair it and update the entitlements first or is there any other way to get it working?
My blue card, which is currently sitting in...
easysat: It is the X1650 card, upgrade to Nvidia 8800 or ATI HD and the playback will be smooth. I had the X1650, 80% CPU on HD, jerky playback while 8800 GTX 15% CPU, no problems on ITV HD or BBC HD.
Sure it works for me- the CAM is restarted ONLY when there is a key change and the dish is on 13.0E. Can you restart the CAM at all from the command line?
Cron executes the script every 5 mins.
When I have more time I will tidy up the script- it is full of dead code- and then post it here.
If you are using Gemini then all scripts for restarting CAMs are in /var/script so you only need to change the name of the EMU on these two lines
/var/script/newcamd_6.10b_betad_cam.sh stop
/var/script/newcamd_6.10b_betad_cam.sh start
Look for clues on the "blue button" screen for...
I figured this one out using the streaminfo of the built-in web interface.
This script works fine on Gemini with NewCamd.
Happy testing- I am off for a pint...
