They might bring back the 3310, and who would blame them.

Is Nokia bringing back the 3310 and who would want a retro phone?

I cant help thinking modern materials in production, and cheap battery sourcing will tarnish the ladder drop/water/bulletproof reputation though.

I still have mine, so technically, the 3310 never went away, I did misplace its charger though, and I really think it could do with a new keypad, and the red LEDs replacing with something less obnoxious...

Its amazing to think how rapidly Nokia went from Hero to Zero, going all in on a Windows system on their smartphones was a big mistake.

Wasn't like they had much choice, Microsoft pretty much owned them at that point and killed the brand, hence the current owners of Nokia launching this new 3310 as a gimmick to re-start the brand, which doesn't remind me of the original 3310 to be honest...

Screens too long without being pedantic it really is, screen on the original was more of a square. Reusing the model number and putting Snake on it does not make it a 3310!

I posted a picture of my one earlier. If Nokia is relying on the nostalgia they could have remoulded the 1000 series models with many of the later features.

Bit of a con, but if the phone last a month on standby, and a week in normal use then it will suit the other half.

Dug my real 3310 out, slapped a GiffGaff SIM in and plugged in its charger, and, it still works after about 10 or 12 years of disuse...
