I know, kinda strange name, but that is it. Today I started new project. Namely, the device which should help installation and tuning of the polar-mount. I think it will work for antenna size up to 1.5m. Why I need it (well, I maybe do not need it at all  ), I will pretend I need it :). But maybe other users here will get some idea and maybe they like it, so they can use it for their projects. Of course, I will not make here something ideal..... nothing and nobody is ideal. Perhaps I will make some mistakes on the way, I just hope those mistakes will not stop me to finish the project.
Everyone, who ever installed polar-mounted antenna knows that it is usually pretty easy to adjust elevation and declination. Adjustment of the polar-mount vertically also not a big issue. But azimuth that is what sometimes give the headache. Some polar-mounts have integrated azimuth adjustment mechanism, but majority of the PMs do not have them.
So, my idea is to make support for the PM which can be adjusted vertically and horizontally (azimuth).
I have found in the garage 2 old sheaves 140mm in diameter, which will work as azimuth turning block. Lower pipe will be 140mm and upper pipe 75mm (CM 120 can satay on top).
For upper and lower parts to be centered I made brass axis. Sorry, no inox here , maybe later just some nuts&bolts :D

Cut one sheave into 2 pieces (1&2). In other sheave made 6 holes and made M10 thread in them. When all 6 bolts are tightened there is no way the middle part can turn around. But when bolts are loosen little bit then middle part can be turned but has no vertical play. I do not know yet how to turn the middle part by some kind of screw to be able to turn it just a fraction of degree. I just hope those sheaves can be welded, if not then it is gonna be big problem.

Did some welding (my worries were vain). Now the question I do not really know proper answer (have some ideas although): how to attach some kind of screw to turn upper pipe when 6 bolts are not tightened?

Nice welding.

There's something like this:

You could drill through and when needed, insert a metal bar, the longer it is the more accurate the turning

Today I finished my solution for that problem .
Got me a 1.2 m CM for free , like to do some tests with that dish , maybe lnb changer too .

The pole in the ground is 60 mm , the upper one is 75 mm , fits to the original CM polarmount .
Inside both ends of that 75 mm pipe I made nylon bushings , at the lower bushing I attached modified parts of a SG 2100 gear .

Only one more picture .

Well, will have only about 5* of fine adjustment. But, I think, that should be enough. Adjustment will be done by 2 screws (still need to be added), they will be pushing upper tube around the axis.

Have installed CM 1.2m on the top of that bit. Looks complicated, but it works OK.

But, wait a minute, I am not lazy, I did some digging couple of days ago. On previous picture you can see some shadow which is not belonging to Channel Master. It comes from another dish which I used to store some dirt. It is 2meter, looks like PFA but it is possible it has toroidal shape.
