I went out and bought this today I've only used bridge cameras in the past, I need to pickup a couple more lenses and learn to use it, hopefully some nice photos to come in the future.

I've got a Canon DSLR shell which takes EFS lenses here that was bought in a charity shop a few months back. A ten year old unit, the 350D Rebel.
Canon EOS Rebel XT / 350D Review
Whilst it's classed as an entry level camera, it has more bells and whistles than I wish, and am still working my way round the 'manual' functions, so currently all pictures are taken with the iPod 6.

Additionally the iPod is usually in the pocket and can be used in seconds, the DSLR is a purposeful still camera, needs to be lumped around in a bag, then fit the lens as it doesn't quite fit in there with the Tamiron item (also a charity item), the original Canon lens is rather cheap.

But I have taken some images with it in the past month and the Tamiron is rather good with low light level stuff so I'll have a go with the telescope at some point.

The 4M picture size is quite a pain.

Bug dept., at night, got lots of blinking (and very strong) LED's flying around, nice watching as it's pitch black around the house.

Managed to find one to take a few shots, ugly looking underside with the LED. Bug size approx 1 cm.

No bugs were harmed during the shooting of these photos :O)

It looks a nice camera, many a good tune played on a old fiddle so to speak,

It can be the best way especially when after various wildlife shots from macro to distance, ive been out walking today, my new camera stayed at home and the bridge camera came with me.

Has our black and white Blackbird got a problem it has been acting strangley lately.A few days ago It was sat on the soil with its wings spread out.Yesterday it was doing the same again.I got to about a yard from it before it got up and hopped off.It seems alright otherwise.it was at one of the feeders today.

Just basking, very interesting leucism, not seen one with as much as that, it's quite striking. My local one has been going for many years now, since at least 2010, but much less discolouring.

Thanks rolfw. That is nice to know.We thought that it may have a problem because we have not noticed any of the other blackbirds doing it.Probably because they do not stick out like a sore thumb like the white one.:) It does have young there are a few young blackbirds around with bits of white on them.

It could well be a distraction display if they have young.

A distraction display is different, the bird will feign a broken wing and move around as if injured.

I've been playing with the camera for the last week or so when time permits, its not point and click what I'm used to, lots of setting to get your head round,

Macro photography appeals to me also water drop reflections,

My best pictures from over 70 shots, lots of room for improvement but so far so good, very pleased with the camera I'm quite sure with practice and learning the setting i will be able to get some stunning shots.
