Thanks, I have stonking signal but it won't download anything off that transponder using the same sw...strange.

I take some forums will have the new sw first.

Sometimes, despite a good signal, the SX88 can't find programs.
When this problem is present, to do with another method.
Go to EDIT TP and put you in MTS (multistream).
It still work with this method.

This looks a very interesting receiver! Hopefully the lack of E-AC3 (DD+) audio will be rectified.

As MCelliotG says, the hard coding of the multistream values is annoying, there should at least be the option to manually enter the stream IDs and PLS codes.

As Lazarus says too, the 5°W multistreams are an excellent FTA alternative to Fransat and Tivusat. I certainly haven't looked back since being able to get all the French channels without any encryption, and getting Rai and Mediaset Italian channels including HD in the same way is a nice added bonus.

On my 80cm dish looking at 5°W I can easily get the other Italian multistreams with an offset LNB on 12.5°W too.

Fingers crossed they'll fix the audio decoding!

Currently there are two main problems for the SX88
the main problem:
recording of the Multistreams and the T2MI.
To the T2MI it does not work.
For the multistreams it works only when there is a single channel by stream, when there are several
programs it does not work.
All of these problems are known to engineers working on it.
the second problem:
the Audio of French in DD AC3 programs on 5 ° West.
This is not a technical problem, it's only a problem of license.
It is so only to make a decision.
Octagon is intended first for the German market,
pay a license for the french audio??

It might be intended for the German market, but the reality is that it is being purchased far more widely.

So, one has to wonder how much the unit price would have to rise to account for Licensing costs: No more than a couple of beans would be my guess.

If they are intended for the German market first perhaps then they also remove the modes/codes of the French and Italian multistreams in 5W, instead of parading everywhere showcasing their receiver can do the magic it really cannot do... I just sayin'...

Tests of Octagon SX88 Ver.1.04.18, in Hispasat with very low SR.

For testing.
11503 H 1667 9/10 DVB-S2/QPSK MPEG-4, Good channel
12519 V 1481 3/4 DVB-S/MPEG-1/4, PT
11502 V 700 3/4 DVB-S/MPEG-2, Antenna 3 Uniprex

No problem SR1667, find the channel well
The SR1481 sees it, has good signal, but can not find the radio channels (normal/TMS).
With SR700, you are completely blind.
Now a joke, if you leave the TP put, between 30 and 45 minutes, suddenly gives good signal, but nothing else, find nothing, repeated several times, repeat sequence, go signal after +30 minutes.

As a verification and adjustment element of the test channels, Dreambox800S-HD (supported up to SR323).
Ok the audio of the radio channels.

Sin problemas SR1667, encuentra bien el canal
El SR1481 lo ve, tiene buena señal, pero no encuentra los canales de radio (normal/TMS).
Con SR700, está completamente ciego.
Ahora un chiste, si dejas el TP puesto, entre 30 y 45 minutos, de repente da buena señal, pero nada más, no encuentra nada, repetido varias veces, repite la secuencia, ve señal después de +30 minutos.

Como elemento de verificación y ajuste de los canales de prueba, Dreambox800S-HD (admite hasta SR323).
Ok el audio de los canales de radio.

PS: Recordings OK (USB ), I update in a few minutes.

Hispasat OK....yes.
The first photo is from the DTT channel that I tune in at home, a terrestrial repeater 100 kilometers away.
The second of the TV (Hispasat).
The third, is a photo of the channel recording.ts, to see the quality (Hispasat).
The satellite gains by a few decimals.
Note: Dreambox took almost 2 years to purchase the DD+ license for DB800S-HD receivers.

La primera foto es del canal por TDT que sintonizo en casa, un repetidor terrestre a 100 kilometros de distancia.
La segunda de la TV (Hispasat).
La tercera, es una foto de la grabacion.ts del canal, para ver la calidad (Hispasat).

Gana el satelite por unas decimas.
Nota: Dreambox tardo casi 2 años en comprar la licencia DD+ para los receptores DB800S-HD.
