Had a look at this unit at a trade show yesterday, can be linked to your mobile to give lots of information from live spectrum up to quality reports and transponder information. Runs from a small power pack and without linking to the phone gives basic visual strength and quality scales, they will be sending me more information as and when available.

Price believed to be about £300 retail.

It seems to be targeted at professional installers who work for PayTV operators. It allows to generate GPS based reports, monitor spectrum and signal strength.
Unfortunatly it does not seem to have a modulator on board, so no live TV preview, TS analysys or NIT table.

This makes a price of £300 not seem so interesting anymore, especially for hobby/DX applications.

All in all, you can (apparently) do the same with the Chinese SMA devices and my VMA Simple Spectrum Analyser software, if you use a Windows tablet instead. Not critizing - just saying.

Vitor
