You are probably looking at the Loral satellite SSL 1300 that was put into orbit last year. There is Ka and high output internet capability on that bird



It is also sitting alongside the Simon Bolivar 1 satellite, launched in 2007, but that - Spacebus 3000 (B3 ?) - does not have extended C band transponder capability.

If the signal is from 65W then the signal cannot be for the Brazil region as extended Cband is not agreed within the transponder plan.

Extended C band - 65° West.
Two new ones with me ..... 4530 V. 3615. 2/3. DVB-S2. CCM. Locked but pid-less at the moment.
4566 H. - No lock, might just be not strong enough with me at the moment. Difficult reception conditions due to very low angle to the horizon.
