Once we get to the clock change weekend we will get the winter thread up and running for the annual moans about how cold it is, where the dishes are now pointing, why you cant get to work etc

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

When you have re-felted it nail 3 thin battens each side running down the slope. Ive done that on OH's shed up at her allotment. Its very exposed up there but despite all the winters storms we have had the felt has never blown off. It split once along one of the battens after a hard winter but the battens stopped it blowing off completely.

DONT try felting on a windy day - been there got the tshirt & almost fell off the ladder backwards!!

I had planned to have re-done the roof this summer, but "family issues" (aka useless waste of space of a brother) got in the way and everything ended up out the window, plan was to empty the shed into the back or side shed in the garden (both of which are in dire shape!), take it apart, move it to the garden, rebuild it with some repairs & modifications and put new roof felt on it, might still try and get it done, but there's a lot of remedial work needed in the garden after the mess left behind by the "family issue" who trashed the garden...

And as for a windy day, yeah, did that when I first assembled the shed, not fun, especially when the wind blows the sandy stuff off the felt into your eyes, that hurt a lot... :-doh

A blanket of misery is in the patch between the sun and me. Along with ever shorter days, my SAD is really kicking in now...

I got bored on Monday night.
Even though it was blowing a gale I started swinging the Dish .
I even watched a program on 28 East for a bit .
I got away with it the dish is still on 1.5 w longitude where it should be.:)

Must check mine ... I've only used a minidish so far this week.

Oh, and it must be time to close this Topic and move to Winter mode!
