M6 and TF1 have not continually subtitles, It's just that for some programs (rare)

Yes but TF1 is sent not subtitle in the Multistreams
here you can see an example. (stream with a TBS 6983)
the sub titles is announced, but in reality there is no subtitle.

On 40 east, sub are available sometimes on public tvs.
Smartdvb Can get them.

No problem.
The SX88 can handle subtitles as 4008 but only when there are subtitles.
The only difference between the SX88 and 4008: the SX88 does not record subtitles.
a exemple with the record from 4008 TF1: no subtitle as the SX88

Series has always Subs.
I am not convinced... My tests are for "not working properly".

I wonder if the SX88 has a hidden menu for setting up the HDMI video? Compared to all other inputs to my TV the SX88 produces dark pictures.

Will there be a database editor for this receiver? Mine arrived yesterday and I would like to add in some missing satellites. I use a traditional motor and prefer my satellites in order. Belintersat1 is missing as well as ABS 3a and I would like to add in Bulgariasat when it switched on.

Octagon says they are working on an editor. All you can do for now is manually add satellites using the receiver.
Diseqc 1.2 motor controls are hard coded to the satellite number. So if you select the third satellite in the list, the receiver automatically assigns the diseqc 1.2 number to 3. This is not good.

I changed my list manually & used some of the C band satellites such as Azerspace 1 then I relocated the other satellites
Set up in DiSEqC 1.3 USALS

One of the firmware updates recently added a very updated satellite list, including all C, Ku and Ka satellites.
This needed a factory reset to enable it

from SW 1. 04. 22 many satellites have been added, including belintersat.
Just load the SW and do a werkreset

Today came a new update.
rather it concerns the mediaplayer side.

Thanks for the advice. The satellite position numbers being positioner numbers could be good if we could allocate the position ourselves ....which I had on the X2 premium receiver. So far, I miss the Pos button from the Technomate for fine tuning and the very good spectrum analyser from my Dr HD D15 which was far superior to the Technomate analyser. Sadly the IR receiver started malfunctioning making controlling the receiver impossible.

I am getting used to working with the Octagons logic and hope this will be my main controlling and blind scanning receiver using my other Octagon for UHD and DVBS2X.

It would be so useful if these updates were available over the internet when you switch on... ie the receiver says updates are available.

So easy to miss one of these if you away from the PC for a while as I was on holiday
