Circular polarisation only, covering 20GHz RX 30GHz TX, from the patent. It's hard work out it's frequency without an idea of scale but it looks more like Ka. There are no fixings on the flange so I presume there's a clamp to attach it to the LNB/ODU. An interesting curiosity.
I don't think it would be better that a CM on a CM especially if it is for a Prodelin 0.8 f/d

.. That's the same feed that's on the Hughes Ka Tx/Rx turtles for satellite broadband that a few of us have had in the past. They use a special circular clamp to fix the feed to the poloriser that's not shown in the advertisement pic.

That one you got was the satellite dish bargain of the millenia, current and previous. The big dish aspirants were too slow of the mark, slippy and speedy scopus moved quickly in stealth mode while the aspirants gazed on.
