I have for sale another Precision polar mount. It is the triangular frame version with galvanised finish and in good working order. The polar mount had previously been used within a few miles of the coast so there is a bit of sea air impact on the galvanised finish, however, the galvanising is still intact.

Both top and bottom bearings have been replaced with brand new bearings (16mm bore) and the bearing shaft bolts have also been replaced with brand new stainless steel M16 bolts. Both of the new bearings have been protected with a wrapping of Denso tape and round caps are provided to cover the bearing shaft socket heads.

The polar mount is capable of accepting any Precision dish that was manufactured with the 600mm rear mounting ring. To the best of my knowledge this covers the dish range of 1.2m to 2.4m (2.2m and 2.4m had the option of either a 600mm or 1200mm rear mounting ring). The mount will fit a 3" diameter pole or can be used with a larger diameter pole with a pole adapter.

With a little bit of simple fabrication work it is also possible to use the polar mount with other makes of satellite dish.
Some pictures of the polar mount are attached below. Please note that the ground stand present in the attached pictures is not included in the sale.

Asking Price: £250 excluding delivery.

Good evening Moonbase,

I think you mentioned a larger Precision mount dish when we last spoke about the mount ?

I have a Precision 1.3 at present a larger size could be of interest.

Some thing that would bolt directly on my Precision mount.

Thank you for your time.

Spiff,

I think carriage down to Mullion Cove from Surrey may be quite expensive but I have a Precision 1.5m and a Precision 2.0m dish that I would consider selling subject to being offered a tempting price.

What are you hoping to use the dish for? If it is C band then a 1.5m will get some channels but is restricted in its scope. For C band, big is good, if your gonna have one, have a big 'un.

Rgds

For sure, you can do more with a big 'un when it comes to dishes. Did you ever get round to installing your Precision 2.2m? If I remember correctly you indicated that you were planning to install it a few months ago?

Good evening Moonbase the dish will be for KU band.

I am not sure about a 2m as I had not thought that large, because of some balcony railings and the spacing off the wall.

It is raining hard at the moment, so I will measure up tomorrow and get back to you : )

I would have liked both, then the 2 would have been for C band, as you say big is good.

I have a 1.4 on C band, the rain tonight wiped out the lot : )

Spiff,

It sounds as though a 1.5m or a 1.8m would be your best option if the dish is for Ku band?
