Hi guys. Im new to all this! I purchased the amiko alien 2 satellite receiver around 18months ... It went 'off' around 11months. I packed it away and never touched it since. Now i want to get it working again without the slightest clue how but im determined ams refuse to pay.
There is little information on the internet and most forums require me to sign up so.....

Anyway. Ive managed to install the engima 2 2015, from a site onto the box. The issue im having is that i cannot find any channels, i dont know which satellites are used , which tuner etc.. Please i need some simple guidance :(

Thanks!

You need to set up the tuners

Menu -> Service searching -> Tuner configuration.

Set the tuners to what ever satellite the dish is pointing at. Once thats done you need to scan the satellite to tune the channels back in.

When you say it went off at 11 months are you reffering to the paid encrypted channels?

Unless you pay *someone* you wont be watching any more pay channels - the days of easy access to multiple pay tv services on keys & cams are long gone.

We recommend you buy a proper subscription to any services you may want to watch, and we will not allow any discussion of ways of evading payment of subscription revenue by use of dodgy card shares.

Can you expand on that answer? What is "Yes" reffering to?

If your hoping to get your encrypted channels back i'm afraid that won't happen even with Enigma.

The only reason you had the encrypted channels is because you purchased a box with a so called Gift which enabled the box to illegally decrypt channels. You will not get any help from this forum if you intend to defraud Sky or any other European operator by illegally obtaining their services.

We are more than happy to help you set up your box for free to air broadcasts but i'm afraid thats where the help stops.

Since there has been no answer from the OP even though he has logged in since the last post i can only surmise that i was correct in my assumption that he wishes to use the receiver to open encrypted channels that he would otherwise have to pay full price for.

And with that i'll close the thread.
