But if we point LNB to antenna's center than even more antenna's area will be unused (OK, not unused but underiluminated). So, to iluminate antenna at maximum, we should place LNB to focus and point to blue spot (~143mm down from center, or ~80mm down from spot where LNB is pointed now). And who cares if LNB will illuminate little bit under the dish. We also should remember about massive feedarm, which stays between LNB and ground.

We talked a lot today about bolts and screws. I've got lot of some bolts today. 12mm for 1,8m dish and rest are 8mm for smaller dishes.

As I know from sun-outage test, my CM120 is located too deep inside balcony and at least 1/4 part of antenna is not working, so performance of system is much worse than it could be. I have an idea to make pole longer and also add possibility to make it plumb. I have several pipes in the garage, one has 114mm diameter and another one 75mm. So idea is (nothing new here) to cut some 40cm of 114mm pipe and weld to it 6 nuts. To upper end of this pipe weld piece of 75mm pipe (have no idea yet how to do it technically but should figure it out). So, then this construction will go on top of existing pipe. Sounds easy, but.... performance.... will take some time. :oops:
Another option wold probably be to take lots of wooden parts and put them together on top of the existing platform and on top of that sandwich screw existing pole.
Will go for option #1, unless there is better way to which I do not know. :(

Could you not weld/bolt some box section/angle iron to what you have Rimants then raise the platform your using atm on to this position ?.

Martin!
I do not think I can go so high with antennas. Local commune has problems with satellite antennas visible from outside. I should keep them as low as possible. So, T90 has no any obstruction and can stay like it is. CM120 I will lift just so much to have clear LOS towards 7*W - that is my program maximum.
This spring (perhaps Easter time) I will remove all single LNBs from T90 and leave only 6 quads to have 4 exactly same outputs from 28,2*E-23,5*E-19,28E-13*E-4,8*E-0,8*W.
While I could not sleep, I've made plan #3- will make completely new universal holder, that will be adjustable in vertical dimension and also for different diameters of pipes (for different dishes), like 40mm-60mm-75mm.

So, idea for my new antenna holder looks like that. Will weld also 6 nuts in two rows to be able to fix inside of big pipe smaller one.

I think that over the weekend (if weather allows) I will have CM120 installed on new stand. I did not have possibility to drill holes > than 10mm, so used 10mm nuts&bolts. Of course, before installing the stand will painted.

Finished with stand. Added small triangles (circled red) to make construction stronger (maybe it was too much, but anyway). Also painted stand and 75mm pipe. Was little bit short of paint for 75mm, so it will not look nice :eek:

So, my construction looks like that now. Shame I did not have enough paint to paint internal pipe better. Fixed stand using 4 8mm x 80mm screws (red circles). Do not see necessity to add 4 more (green circles), as stand stays firmly enough.

After changing stand got antenna ~40cm higher, should be enough to get clear LOS towards 7*W.

Took a picture of one flag-pole today. I think this could be great for holding SAT-antenna pole as well. Possible to make pole plumb and dish can be lowered for maintenance.

LNB looks similar, with minor differences.
I think your LNB holder is for 23mm LNB neck. Did you open feedhorn cover? Perhaps it just look smaller but in reality it is big.
Found it.

IMG_20150311_142954.jpg

I took a second look at my dish and you're probably right about my lnb holder being a 23 mm. That would make much more sense.

Hi! I've put some data of my dishes in the spreadsheet, just in case I need these data in the future.
A - Name of the dish;
B - Horizontal size of the working area (This represents real size of dish- 1200mm means 1,2m dish);
C - Vertical size of the working area;
D - Depth of the dish in the very middle of it;
E - Offset angle of the dish;
F - Opening angle (angle from antenna's focal point and lower and upper points of the dish);
G - Distance from upper point of the working area of the dish to the aiming point of the LNB (sometimes it is not easy to measure distance from lower part as there is obstacle- lower LNB-arm);
H - Distance from the upper point of the dish to the focal point F;
I - Distance from the lower point of the dish to the focal point F;
J - F/D of the dish;
K - Surface of the dish visible from satellite;
L - Angle A (see on screenshot);
M - Angle B;
N - Angle AB/FG;
O - Weight of the dish without feedarms and mount;
P - Distance from center of the initial parabola (from which offset is made) and lower point of the our offset dish;
Q - Distance between holes for fixing dish to it's mount.

On attached screenshots: datasheet and example of profile of Fibo 90.
Of course, I will update spreadsheet with missing data and add more dishes to it.
