Hello everybody. I'm a new member.
I have been trying to find information about how to view the channels that are on Intelsat 907. I found some in this forum, but I'm still a little confused. But the biggest question I have at this point is whether my Skybox F3 can "see" those satellite channels, in particular because of the unusual "symbol rate". Without being sure of it, not worth moving. Does anyone have a Skybox F3, and can give some feedback about this? Thanks for any information that will be welcome.

ISTR formwr staff member Tivu tried it a couple of years ago - he wrecked the box & had to reflash it!

If you are talking about the BISS encrypted channels there are several videos on Youtube on how to acchieve this - search BISS Skybox (or Openbox)

Yes, I know how to achieve those channels. What I do not know is the ability (or not) of my Skybox F3 HD to deal/recognize the frequency of those channels. I am talking about a frequency high symbol rate which some receptors can't work with - 11495 V 44100.

The problem is not the high SR but the fact that PMT is encrypted/not present. That means that the audio and video PIDs are not presented to the receiver in a way that it expects to see that information. Hence the need to enter this information manually.

Thank you. But do you mean that my Skybox F3 HD will "catch" something from that Intelsat 907, for example the name of the channel, which can be edited later? Because if it "catches" nothing, also nothing can be edited, I mean those PIDS... (sorry for my english, is not perfect, i know. I'm from Portugal)

Your receiver will see signal but it won't scan it in. There are success stories I believe with Skybox but don't quote me on that.

I bricked my Skybox M3 trying to manually add the missing PIDs via the PC software, and had to reflash it the same as Tivù did.

In terms of the signal, the Skybox receivers will lock and tune the channels fine on that transponder! It's decrypting them that's the problem.

I get the same problem with NERIT on 3.1°E. There's no PMT issue with that but the encryption flag is not set even though the channels are BISS encrypted. As the Skybox does not think the channel is encrypted it won't bother to try the key.
