Reference to the above subject , the salesman told me that this lnbf with 200K is the best for receiving HD FULL HD 1080 MPEG4 - S2 . But from my previous knowledge that the lower noise temperature in K kalvin the better a lnbf with 15K or 17k is better than 20K . But lnbf with 200K is better for receiving HD TV channels How com ! Please ADVICE

Unless Pauxis have ugraded their product range ...
I found previous Pauxis lnbs to be ok but nothing special ..
There are better alternatives out there.
As to noise figures ..
Not sure what your salesman is saying ...but I'd always go low Kelvin for SD or HD ..
K being a thermal noise indication ...and as such ..is related to and affecting all received signals ..
Regardless of SD or HD ...or QPSK or 8PSK ...the lower the noise floor the better...thus the lower the K rating ...the higher the gain ...the better..
Anyone wanting to add to this ..
please do ...your more than welcome.

Personally I'd recommend a Titanium C1 PLL...
PLL _will_ imo give a better and more acurate lock on HD channels....as well as SD

  1. C-BAND ONE CABLE: Which satellite is required to be used in the UK?
  2. I heard from a friend of a friend that the noise level of a C LNB straight from the factory is 25-45K, and that a 200K LNB is definitely not suitable. However, I also heard from an installation engineer that a 200K product can be used. I cannot understand why there is such a discrepancy. Although these are all hearsay, I trust that the noise level of the C LNB specified by my friend is 25-45K, and that all other values are arbitrary. I wonder where the factory and sales managers get the figures of 12K, 13K, 17K, 100K, and 200K from. I suspect that the two of them must know the correct values.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I believe 200K would be a typo in the seven year old post.

If you test with a starfinder with a spectrum, show me the source of the interference. Let's analyze it together.
