On the move again have a Monterey Classic, put in the loft few years ago after the on off switch went wrong so its spares or repair as it still wont power up ,checked plug fuse and receiver fuse all ok but the switch feels like its not doing anything, anyway bought it in July 98 as one of the first 100 digital receivers, serial number 43, paid £2598.00 (yikes) have all receipts, manual plus digital manual, cables and handset, would like £300.00 to help with the move, so anyone out there with a thirst for dabble with one of the best sat receivers made heres you chance, will cost a fortune to post so how about pick up Leicester or meet within reasonable distance,
regrds Michael

You might get some interest if you provide the specifications of the digital circuitry , what it can and cannot receive in terms of symbol rate and FEC.

Uses the same circuit board as my ancient RSD ODM300 STB. Only DVB-S. ISTR seeing a description in a long-gone Wotsat mag, and it showed the same digital menu structure as my box, OP could confirm if he could post some pics of the menu.

spot on Llew, uses the ODM-300 manufactured By RSD Communications Ltd, all spec you have put except casing and front panel as it uses the Monterey front panel, never gave it a thought to add digital details, you use the same Monterey remote, the NEXT button toggles between analoque and digital. PS for Captain Jack, it has a D2Mac decoder so the manual states, if I remember correctly used a D2 Mac card for Norway ? cheers lads Michael

The good thing about this legend is that you can still actually watch something with it!

I know it has a D2MAC decoder (at least I think most of them did) but I have nothing to feed it with...

Ah, yes, I remember that. Though, that seems to have been a test card generator, rather than accepting a video input and converting to MAC. Perhaps it could have been been hacked to accept an input...
