Confirmed! The signal levels on 11509H seem to have got back to normal for two days now, in fact this frequency comes now a bit stronger than 12648V.

Apparently the fta French stuff on 5W 11591V is being shut down leaving just the multi streams & scrambled stuff.

Nah, just a shift of the offset LNB.

Her dish points to 13E, with a Monoblock for 13E and 19E, with a cheapo bracket to allow an offset LNB at 5W.

Might struggle to physically fit the same LNB at 9E, so either an Alps required or I'll whack on the spare Motor instead ;)

As i understand GR1 is moving into 11509H so they dont want to pay for 11591V. Well that is sad since other provider doesnt want to make it FTA. I know and i also read a lot people like to watch those fta pack, some people get it at one lnb with 4W, in my city French speaking people have dishes especially for fta national France channels.
Buy a card since it most likely is able to work with your reciever with some tricks. )
I would recommend you do that. For me sometimes Fransat freuencies have errors in streams which causes glitches, i dont know why it happens... signal always stable arount 15db but multistream frequencies are fine.

^^^ Thanks for reply. I'd rather not get (back) into fixes and wizardry, so it's either a Fransat receiver or 11509.
Sad that ci+ is not an option for the vu+. Will let the matter rest for a while and read \ think :O)

If your tv has a CI+ slot & satellite tuner just get the fransat CI+ module & card &connect the 5w dish direct to the tv.

^^^ A tv with sat + ci+ (current tv got none) is an option I've been thinking about, am sceptical of' what could be 'jack of all trades\master of none' equipment. Looks like just a few sat-tv's available, expensive, and got no idea of the sat receiver quality\support. But keeping the door open.

Are you sure that will work? As far as i know Fransat cam is hardware blocked and work only with ceratain hardware. At least it doesnt work with my receiver so i have to use 'card readers' to make it work.

No idea - does anyone have a tv with a sat tuner & a ci+ slot that can test it for us?

Found LG's, indeed many more models than I thought. But quite high prices for the larger models... Basically, I could buy a Fransat box + a vu duo2 + a decent 40" (+ motorize my 125cm) for approx the same price as one s2 equipped 'smart' lg available here!

The Fransat CAM will work in any CI+ compatible TV (with DVB-S2 tuner). They only list ones on their site which will also automatically put the channels on their correct LCNs (e.g TF1 on 1, NRJ12 on 12 etc).

The one I have works fine in our Sony TV even though that's not listed by Fransat (you have to order the channels yourself).
