Das Erste quality on 13E isd horrible when the silver paper cannons go off - mega blokko vision. So Ive switched to the lovely pics from SRF1 Switzerland in HD which is showing the same output - currently DJ Otzi in his beanie hat ;)

BTW, Egyptian fireworks were also carried on ESC on Hotbird. Like last year. Didn't watch myself live as I live in the same time zone (hint!) but had the STB record it. Currently watching Silvesterstadl on Das Erste.

Now its a "spectacular" fireworks show from Amsterdam. I don't think they have seen Sydney . . .

I recorded France24 and they went live to Berlin and not Paris!

Paris must be too expensive.
