Hi a few more pictures, the dish needs a fair bit of work to get it in shape but I am sure I will get it right in the end, the worst bits is on the rim at the rear of the dish but I can see its out of shape, it might take me a few days to get it right, I will post pictures before and after straightening, from all the good reports on this type of dish its worth the time and effort,

Is there any way to trace the dish from the numbers I would be interested to take a look if so ?.

A very nice mount. I bought a couple of dishes just because they came with a nice stand.

They both are nice mounts and stands Alex a bit of a over kill for the dishes that's been fitted to them the 1.5 stand and mount would be fine with a 2.4 dish.

Stil waiting for a 2m precision to pop up for sale ..
Looking at SS ..it seems that off the shelf PF dishes between 1.8m and 2.3m are rare as rocking horse poo ..
..and 2.3m is just that bit too big ..
2.2 is absolute max diameter I can accomodate ...and only PF will do as offset would hit the walls due to it being more forward facing ..
Anyone with a garden rather than a backyard ..is one lucky SOB ...

Hi its not half as bad as expected I should be able to get this in shape quite easy:), first things first get the rim in shape and get the dents out, then I will pull it inline :).

Martin ..a quick question ..
Just out of curiosity mate ..
the tubular ring mount attached to the back of the dish ...
is this fixed or can it be removed ?
and what is its diameter ?
I assume similar dishes of larger diameter use a similar tubular ring ...and am curious ..
just in case I ever do see a 2m version ...as somehow Id have to adapt this to fit Christinas Polar Mount ..
Disaster!!

Hi Evan, it can be removed, it looks like you knock the little pin in the centre to release the grip on the circular tube.

Thanks Martin ..
Just measured Christinas ring (OOO Eerr Missus) ...
Diameter roughly 30 inches ...so your ring would fit inside hers ..
lol
which means it could possibly be bolted through ..radially..
cheers

I don't want nothing in my ring:eek: two things I refuse c**k and knuckle in that order lol

Better pictures, I am going to use the 90cm as the wife's sky dish, and motorise it just for fun and see what I can get with it, I have a new motor that's doing nothing, what lnb should I get for this please, I will need two ports for the sky box and one to move the dish I presume.

Hi a quick 10 minuets working on the dish, I picked on the worst bit, it doesn't look like I've lost my panel beating skills from when I was a few years younger:). more work to do but a good 2/3 hours on her and she will be back in good shape :).

Hi, the rim is sorted out now and the few dents knocked in to better shape, there is one little dent I cant get to without removing the mount support brace, ive also managed to remove most of the paint,

I will finish stripping the paint tomorrow and put it back in shape, hopefully the mirrors will be with me Monday so I can check the dish is focusing as it should :).

Why I have initially said that this dish reminds me Kathrein antenna. Found some old pictures of mine 120cm PFA, there are definitely some similarities. Polar mount is different, yes.
