45w RASDTV

Fiddling with the motorized 78cm last night I stumbled upon RASDTV on 45W, very weak. 45W is pretty low for me (17.4°) so I may well be having tree issues - I didn't think I could see that far round The programming is in Arabic, although the EPG is in Cyrillic. At the moment it is displaying the flag of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (I had to look this up - geographically Western Sahara).
I can also lock transponders on 37.5W and 34.5W but can't scan any channels.

Have you had a go at 61.5W HB nothing open but a easy catch from my area.

Haven't had much from 61.5W due to obstructions but 45W is pretty strong at about 12dB.

hmm elevation is low where I am - 6.5° and I suspect I might be treed, but I'll give it a go this evening. Thanks for the suggestion

Hmmm is all circular on this sat and my LNBs are all linear. Am looking forward to seeing how this works

Its comes in fine in the UK too.

I love this satellite just for its odd beam. It's almost C-Band sized.

Its c band footprint changed to Central and South America, I do scan in several tp but extremely glitchy.

Thanks - Lyngsat doesn't list any linear TPs, and Flysat and Kingofsat don't go that far round to the west! (If anyone knows differently then can they please tell me soon so that I can edit this post and avoid looking too dense )

61.5w is an echostar sat used by Dish Network USA and all tp are upper band circular. Amazonas at 61w is linear.

OK - not a sniff on 61W. It's a bit dark to see but I'm pretty sure I'm either autotreed, neighbour's garaged or treed about 150m from the house. If I put the dish on the roof I might get away with it (that would just leave the question of the slightly further trees) but I like the dish where it is on the ground

I too get good signal quality on tp 11452 but no channel and also on 11602 V with a sr of 1000 but also no channel.

I receive 45W quite good here but nothing comes in on 11452 and 11602 V
