fighting with the Triax elevation adjustment :(
Now STOP all of you bashing the Triax elevation adjustment! :-lol
It's fine, only you need to find out the correct looseness of the wing nuts, and *learn* the amount of elevation change that tightening the nuts gives.

Now I have exchanged my dear TD-110 for a Laminas OFC-1200 P.
Simply 4 nuts, they are either tight, or so loose the dish falls down. Nothing inbetween.
Oh and no elevation scale on the mount. Probably soon, I will scratch one myself!

Apologies for offtopic AS, notice you nicely ignore it, just remember a mount can be worse than Triax.

To be ontopic, all European beam is easy catches here, while Central Asia beam is too weak, just 11169 H locking sometimes.

Hi William-1. You have a good system if you can receive the Central Asia beam on 100cm set up...

Yes my set up is very good but I can only receive the European beam from 46 east what i think has happened when i loose this signal it has either transferred to the Asian beam or they have reduced the power of the transponder I think the latter as the signal bars are moving in the red zone.

Its been ok here William since I returned from work this afternoon around 2pm on my 1mtr dish, I will keep a eye on it from time to time.

The GDS channel has music in the background I don't think it should be there ?.

I did change the Lnb's & tuner's a few times over the last couple of days to see what gave me the best signals on the 100cm now I have established a better combination maybe the signals will be more consistant ? :)

I am finding the technomate single lnb giving the black ultra duo a good run for its money here I need to do further test to confirm this when I get the time :).

While the TM6900HD Super combined with the Inverto 0.2 Balck Ultra + 102cm Gibertini gives excellent signals with the TM5302HD lots of signal drop out in the Telecom band 12.5GHz to 12.75 with the Inverto Black Ultra 0.2 so tried an new Ctagon Model Oslo sinle Lnb Optma 3D lol 3D !!! made in Germany that arrived yesterday & given a good rating on some sites but not a good match for the Gibby excellent signals on DTH sats but not so good on 26 east & nothing on 7 west & feeds gave very poor signals:(

So I went to the old Lnb box & dug out an old MTI Blue Line 0.3 what a difference excellent signals on all satellites with the TM5302HD but no signals on 7 west with the TM6900HD Super so set up the TM_F3/5 that has been in & out of the box like a Jack in the box & excellent signals with the MTI 0.3 + 100cm Gibby set up so now i will seek out another MTI low noise Lnb as it works very well on the Gibertini 102 cm dish:)

Using an Inverto 0.2 Black Ultra LNB with the CM 1.2 Dish I get some transponders with no signal!! Could this be the LNB do you think???
Others on same satellite may be 90% SQ+ !! Didn't realise this.

Some transponders here need 50/55% signal to bring the picture in for me, sometimes I will lock a certain tp then I might have to fine tune/wait for conditions to get a little better, slightest bit of cloud and I lose it completely,

I find it a case of trial and error with lnb's and what works on one sat might not on another its trying to find a happy medium and good conditions.

Try targeting 52.5e its learnt me lots about fringe signals;).

Have you tried moving the Lnb backwards & forwards in the Lnb holder for maximum signal ?

I think from what I discovered in post #369 that there is a conflict with some very low noise Lnb's & highly sensitive Ku band satellite tuners that gives rise to blocking & reducing some signals,

Have you got another tuner you could try with this Lnb/Dish set up ?

Really struggle with 11174 Vertical ...Not sure why as all the others are fine.
Had a professional installer round before Christmas to check dish alignment. He said fine but I have my doubts as he wasn't sure what he was doing.
On Astra 19.2 as an example in the 12.728 V I receive no signal!!! Whereas on a completely different system it's 80%SQ.
I really need someone who knows what they are doing to line it up if need be...

52.5 east I can't get at all. Never Have. But can get Express AM 22 at 53 east.

I set my own up laser, and I am a joiner:eek:, get reading and get out there and have a go, it gets easier the more you move the dish about but wear a hat it will stop you pulling your hair out at times :-lol.

Where are you located laser ?, I am sure someone on here is able and willing to help :),

It only cost me around £18 to put this pole in the ground A/S and I could fit 2 dishes to it if I so wished to, pole from a scaffold firm 2 bags of post mix job done :).
