Hi guys,

I need to get abu dabhi sport next season for the footy...

Only thing is, its on AB4A? I cant seem to get it in the UK, done a bit of reading and i may struggle?

I have 1.8 channel master dish and got showtime fine last season, im based in Reading.

I have also read that i may need to nudge the dish abit as its actually 7.2w? can anyone confirm this?

Also, is the channels on 23.5e? Whats the chances of recieving that over 7W?

Dont know if the satellite has been finalised yet, but I guarantee it will be on one of the birds that are really difficult to receive in the uk

(At Bird 4A, Badr 6....)

There is no chance whatsoever of it appearing on 23.5E which is an easy catch

I've seen that someone with a 2.8m dish was picking up the test earlier. Viasat Sweden have all the games too if that's what you're interested in

Be prepared to pay lots and lots of money for Viasat if you have to use a uk based reseller.

AH thought they would be using them.

Your 1.8m wont work for At Bird 4 - you will be needing something much bigger Start thinking at 2.4m possibly bigger.... Thats for a good dish not a cheap flimsy Maplin POS.

Badr 6 is unlikely as well.

It will be NDS Videoguard. It probably wont work on your rx.

AB4A is just on loan. Nilesat 201 is scheduled to be lofted the first week of August and once that starts transmitting AB4A will be freed up for the next task that Eutelsat assign it. So you need to wait and see the reception reports for that bird before you know what dish you will need. Also Nilesat 201 will be at 7ºW not 7.2ºW as AB4A is at the minute.

Re: 26ºE. You need reception reports for Badr 6. You probably need a 2.4m dish for that.

BTW, where can you buy the card for Abu Dhabi and how much is it?

i have talks with my friends in london from techdigital he is waiting on trade price for the card then he will offer me it.

I am looking into viasat. However if its nds im not sure it will work if the card is paired?

There has now been talks that AD Sports will be launched on the same 7W As showtime, so if you got showtime your get AD Sports... Not sure how legit it is.
