Advice Needed Adaptation of the GTP-1800AM 36V HH motor to Gibertini 150 cm

Once I've made adaptation plate for Jaeger motor to be able to hold Channel Master antenna. I think you can go more or less the same route to marry your GTR to Gibertini.

If the o/p requires a quick fix then inverting the two HtoH stand-offs, connect via spacers the outside of the Gibertini declination plate.
No reason to make anything except some longer than usual bolts (or perhaps four bespoke ones).

I'll assemble it after painting. I'll write the results.

Yes, it could have been INOX. It was a bit expensive, so I went cheap.

Unfortunately, the project has been temporarily halted.
The legs that hold the large gear inside the motor that allows the antenna to rotate were cracked by the weight of the antenna.
The lower part of the motor is cast.
Cancellation until we can make it more durable.

That is a shame. I had a similar alloy failure of a much earlier motor, the casting is rarely forgiving.

Strange that the motor could not withstand the weight of the gibertini 150. It is not that heavy. The motor appears to be of poor quality. I have had the same antenna for more than 2 years without any problems - the antenna is powered by a Diqec Amiko motor. The prototype construction of the Diqec motor is indeed made and the antenna is balanced.

Those H180 motors are rubbish. A quick search on this forum will reveal that most people are not happy with its performance, construction quality and features (no east/west limiters...). It needs a lot of work for it to be acceptable.
