Best wait until 2E is in place and a test TP illuminated but at best if you can't get 2F spotbeams now then your unlikely to get 2E's.

Hard to believe 2E uk spotbeam will have the same 2F uk spotbeam nulls as they are in different Astra 28.2E box locations:-rofl2

Signal quality is fairly weak for me in the UK at 70% compared with around 90% for the others in that band.

Very weak in the South of France. I could notice it on the spectrum indicating about -49 dBm as compared to -42 dBm on 1N transponders. Managed one IQ plot, no lock on receiver.

That's coming in at 47% SNR here on the offset LNB on my TD88.....though it's pouring down right now so not ideal....

This looks like it's on the UK spot beam, anyone else further afield who can confirm?

same on the 125cm dish:
The signal is much weaker than all the other TPs, but can still be decoded, as a robust mode is used.

SR is 23000, FEC 2/3. 21000 and 21010 both carrying DVB and OP47 subs, DVB subs flagged on the 11068V TP's but not actually carrying them as of yet.

These are also now correctly listed in the NIT, both as DVB-S2 8PSK.

Why not put ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 in HD instead of many ITV...

Because Regional ITV1 is Public Service and ITV2,3,4 HD are money-spinners.

The HD versions of those channels do exist. They are subscription only (via the SKY HD pack) and do not carry any regional programming or regional advertising. As such they are encrypted and do not need to be on a UK spot beam (they are currently on 2A North beam).

Lifted from the DS forum this nugget :-

"" Whether the twins are near identical or not is only part of the story as the birds won't be in exactly the same position, nor will they have exactly the same attitude. That's of no consequence for the target consumers, but will inevitably mean that the sharp lobes and nulls will not coincide withose presented by 2F, so fringe punters may get some interesting results depending upon how the Channels ultimately get distributed across 2E and 2F ""
