KU Band Premium HD LNB and Premium X are so popular recently and strongest 0.3 LNBs in Iran.
they are so better that clone junk Starsat or .... (original korean Premium HD,X not shit clone Chinese)

I am using Premium HD to receive Nilesat too.
in my experience whenever i use Premium HD and Premium X i can receive MTV Arabia (weakest Frequency for Nilesat in North East of Iran) but whenever replace it by another LNB for example junky Starsat i can not to gat MTv arabia clearly.

but if we have a chance to gain 0.2 or 0.1 Noise LNBs specially Inverto and Invacom in Iran , absolutely We prefer them than even 0.3 Premium HD.
here is not any Inverto or Invacom LNB but if you can get them in your location (India) i suggest use em.

Guys Guys Guys!!!

PREMIUM HD LNB's have NOTHING common with PremiumX series LNBs!

PREMIUM HD is a local trademark of some UAE distributor. ABSOLUTELY SAME LNB's are: DIGISAT DX-2100, TOKYOSAT TS-200. (I have purchased them all, disassembled and checked the internals)

I've tested them all together, and they show same result, where's digisat DX-2100 is cheapest amongst them.

These LNB's do offer better gain across the whole frequency range (generally 2-3% for Q) than typical LNBs, such as: NEXTSTAR YE-122 (Known in Europe as Fortec Star FCKVN), ARISAT AT-1, PAUXIS PX-2200 and so on. While in frequency range of 11.9-12.2 ghz they do offer much more significant boost, about 10% in Q.

Invacom and inverto gave me no difference at all. Absolutely no worth of paying $55 for invacom. 8$ inverto has same result and 5$ digisat also has same result.

How it's possible? The government is now going to be a revolutionary one. To be modernized? Having 2m dishes on your roofs means great. As my friend said, some banks and governmental (private) sectors have those kinds of dishes. People use stronzzate as the Italians say. Therefore no Astra, no other signals from the Europe.

Who's succeeded to get Astra channels in Dubai is too lucky.
2M+ dish in Iran is not possible, the norm is 90cm dishes, 'coz it is not legal. "As I know"
The samples you see on Reza’s comment is only possible in Democratic counties, not in **** countries like Iran or this kind.

I know this thread is quite old but it might still be inreresting for some....

- 19,2 Astra 1M-Widebeam only is not a problem with a 120cm dish for SKYGERMANY
- 09e Eurobird 9A full with 185cm prime focus also a strong signal for KABELKIOSK
- and ofcourse 13e Hotbird with 120cm at ease....

how to open those channnels?! I leave that up to your imagination ;-)

greetings from sunny DUBAI

Hello Marcus. Nice to see you here as well. Suppose getting access to those channels is much easier than getting a non-censored and quick internet connection there.

Are your dishes still fixed or have you motorised any of them ?

Greetings from ugly grey dark rainy cold Stuttgart.

well, the problem with the censorship can be solved really quick with a VPN.... very simple.....

none of my dishes (7 of them) are motorised.... why bother. all roofs are flat and have plenty of space.

has the advatage that each reciever can access all sat pos at all times...

;-)

There you're right. 7 dishes, especially installing many LNBs on each surely can feed a DM8000.

I saw a guy in Tele-sat receiving ASTRA 1 complete channels on a 5 meter antenna in Tehran, eventhough Astra beam is meant for very specific region.

I dono if we install same kind of antenna we can get complete Hotbird in India or not.

I suppose you mean the 5m antenna in Adapazari, East of Istanbul. In 1992 where this antenna was installed, a 5m dish was really necessary. Today i think a 1.50m would do the job for full reception of 19.2E. The 5m should better be used for weaker satellites like Astra 2D which might be able to catch.

Anyway, i think we've gone too far watching the thread's title. Seems that there is no information publicly available about 19.2E/28.2E reception in the UAE.

So according to you the signal of the satellite increased, if yes why it was less in early days.

I guess because the newer satellites these days have a wider footprint and have a higher output. I can't comment for signals your way but back in the 90s the early Astra satellites (1A-1D) needed a decent dish of about 1.8m to get a signal in Helsinki, Finland and even then some of the transponders were still very faint (heavy analogue sparklies but just about watchable) but these days you can get away with a 45cm dish like I do.

Well, speaking of Astra 1A-F indeed their footprints did not serve (well) Eastern Europe and even the power per transponder was far less than today. Some of the elder beams were not very sharp edged, others similar to 1KR/L/M today. But even the elder satellites had polarity-depending sidelobes by chance so that you might have had easier reception further away from beam edge like it was for Astra 1C Hor. I know how difficult the reception was in Greece (Turkey must have been far worse). 3m were not enough for full 19.2E reception in Thessaloniki, today 1m are sufficient for 24/7 reception of even the weakest Astra 1H frequencies.

Conclusion: Bigger footprint and more Watts per transponder do not guarantee an easier out of footprint reception. It's just luck. You get it or not.
