I think so as well. Sheffield is a dead giveaway.

Sure they are Martins dishes who left the forum some time back
Yes, and Polar-mount for 1,2m CM dish is new (one I sent him some time ago).
There is 1,8m glass dish for sale near Brussels. Az/El mount (very solid one). Unfortunately no pictures from the back of the antenna, so not easy to recognize, but I think it is NSG antenna. And this is not bad deal, for 185 GBP you get 1,2m Fibo + Jaeger s-l1600.jpg

The Jaeger 1224 in that listing does not come with the original top cover, it has a "made up" cover according to the seller.

I enjoyed the Project narratives for those dishes. Let's hope they find a good new home.

(The dishes, not the narratives)

Martin provided a lot of useful input to the forum, particularly in the areas of modification and improvisation. I miss his input even though the could be a bit of a "feather ruffler" at times. It would be nice if there was a way back for him to rejoin the forum.

To use the term already mentioned, he ruffled the feathers of a long time member way too much - in fact he was downright rude. This was not the first time that he had overstepped the responsibilities of a Mod but it was the final straw. He refused to accept the problem existed and then, as a parting shot after he had been demoted, he went through the forum permanently deleting vast swathes of posts which contained anything that he had contributed.

He shouldn't have been able to do this and it was an unfortunate mistake to have left him with this Mod ability. It caused a great deal of trouble to the forum and we eventually had to revert to a backup of some days earlier which lost all new posts since that backup but regained the ones he had deleted.

He will not be coming back.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Suffice it to say that the Staff have sufficient and adequate means available to take appropriate action, whether pre-emptive or reactive.

There are a great many attempts each day to access the Forum for purposes that would not be helpful or relevant and we deal with them in the interests of all our contributors.

I think we've gone far enough on this side issue now, so can we please get back to drooling over Bargain Big Dishes? :)

Not for sale, but something to drool over, to get us all back on track! ( Well, the one on the right is for sale, or at least it´s sister is! )

No idea - never seen this before.

Looks like it has a few kinks unless it's just a shadow. Either way, it looks like a bargain, especially with the polar mount supplied.

^^^ thanks for info, Luxor makes sense in this country. Too far away (thankfully :O) to travel, if it was a 150+ I'd make a move (for 28e). The mount looks in excellent shape. A link if anyone from mid-Norway by chance reads this\would be interested PARABOL MOTORSTYRT.
