Famous last words ... snowstorm just as I set out to the Quack's.

Nearly ended up in a ditch along our lanes, finally got to A19 and A168 and it was all but impassable.

Tricky getting home too, but thawing fast now.

Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

Had a little bit of snow around 8am but pretty much all gone now, though the wind's not very pleasant.

Looks like the Southern part of the country will be getting the worst of the weather this time around: phoned one of my banks around noon and the lady who dealt with my call commented "Oh, it's just started snowing" Turned out their call centre is in Fareham on the S. Coast, and the forecasts say that that area and the S. West will probably get some of the worst of this weekend's "Second Beast from the East" - although Putin is still (hopefully!) believed to be Russia!

Just travelled from the North York Moors to the Peak District and the wx has been weird. Intense snow flurries with flakes that looked akin to Cavity Wall Insulation beads, punctuated by gusty winds then calm sunny spells. And repeat.
