On Windows Phone we (all three of us) have a built in optional battery saver that kicks in when levels are getting low and disables non-essential apps running in the background.
My iPhone can do that, I'm not sure if it's automatic or not but there's an on/off switch, I've never used it or noticed it on before now so doubt it's automatic but there again I don't take much notice, when it's looking low it gets charged and once every week or two I let it run completely flat and recharge over nightOn Windows Phone we (all three of us) have a built in optional battery saver that kicks in when levels are getting low and disables non-essential apps running in the background.
