Can anybody advice me

Between these motherboards

Intel D101GGCl
Intel D102GGCl2
Intel 915 GEVL

and these processors

P4 3.06 Ghz ( 1mb cache - 533 Bus)

and

P4 2.66 D Ghz (533Mhz - 2 x 1mb cache )

Is this system will be 64 Bit compatible for Windows Vista?

Have Hyper Threading (HT) technology?

What is the graphic card memory of built-in ATI chip with 512 RAM?

Will I be able to record or atleast watch HDTV transmission by DVB card?

Any advice will be appreciated about compatibility issues such
as gaming.

Those are not 64Bit components, so, no...

Have Hyper Threading (HT) technology?

Depends on the CPU, but it looks like another No...

What is the graphic card memory of built-in ATI chip with 512 RAM?

Depends on the Bios setting, could be 8mb to 256MB, it's an option you can alter on most motherboards...

Will I be able to record or atleast watch HDTV transmission by DVB card?

Maybe, but it would struggle as the CPU spec seems to be a bit low for HDTV compatibility...

Any advice will be appreciated about compatibility issues such
as gaming.

What sort of issues? What will the system be doing primarily?

I build systems for a living so I can advise pretty well, and whatever you do, do not buy from Dell, they rip you off big time when it comes to repairs (and yes I did say WHEN, they break down faster than I can eat a pair of Greggs' sausage rolls!!!)...

I have not much idea about anything else but Vista in Beta and Candidate 1 (the latest release) is supplied in 32 and 64 bit versions I have both.
Hyper threading is required for efficient multi-tasking
I do not understand the question re graphics chip if the PC has 512 mb RAM then you need to know what proportion of that is allocated to the graphics chip, I would have said you would need 1Gb Ram on any modern PC these days or 512 if you are having a separate graphics card with it own built in Ram.

Thanks for everyone's reply

Are Pentium D processors not 64 bit ? and only CORE 2 processors
64 bit.

Is there any motherboard that supports both pentium D and CORE 2 DUO?

Intel has been promoting HT from many years so why Pentium D
is not compatible and which processors are compatible?

I have an 9250 ATI card on which I play Call of duty 2 will I be able
to play by on board graphics? as this AGP card will not work on
new motherboard because of PCX?

A 9250 is a low end card so why not upgrade to a better graphics card as well?

An Intel D Processor 820 with HT technology is a 64bit CPU.

I don't know why you need a m/b to support D processors and Core 2 Duo.

In recent processors the 'D' is the slowest, being outperformed by the Athlon AM2 which now supports DDR2 memory for the first time.

The Core 2 Duo is the fastest processor at the moment.

If you're after a high-end system which is suitable for games, HDTV and high-end applications I'd suggest the following spec system (taken from my work's website):

AMD Athlon 64 Bit X2 Dual Core sktAM2 1Mb 4200+ Cpu,
ASUS M2N-E (PCI-X) with Raid,
1Gb (2x512Mb) DDR2 667 Ram,
300Gb SATA2 7200 16Mb HDD,
3.5" FDD,
512MB DDR2 Geforce 7600GS PCI-X,
16x DVD / 48x Cd Rom,
16x +/- DVD Re-Writer DL

If you want I can give you the price and contact details if you're in the UK and you can take it from there but it'll have to be by PM cos I'd get told off otherwise... :D

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4200+ AM2 Processor
with HyperTransport™ Technology
ASUS PCIe Mainboard - nForce 430 Chipset
1024MB DDR2 533MHz Memory
320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
512MB nVIDIA Geforce 7300GS Graphics
Sony 18x Super Format DVD Writer
16x DVD Rom Drive
5.1 Channel Surround Sound Audio
8 USB, 2x Firewire, GB LAN
Classic Warranty-3 Years parts & lab.

This system on the Mesh website is £438 inc VAT.

It's a pretty quick system for what seems a low price ... especially as a 3-year warranty is included in the price.

I previously had tried AMD but it has a problem working in extreme cilmates thats
why because of my location I will stick to Intel which has precission cooling technology

I have found these boards that will support these processors Pentium D, HT and CORE 2 DUO and are also cheap

AMD's cooling has come a long way since the K6 and K7 type CPUs and the motherboards usually com with something called "Cool & Quiet" which ajusts the CPU fan speed to run the CPU at it's optimum temperature, so no more fried chips or jet engine heatsinks are needed...

I think this thread is going round and round or up a blind alley.

Maybe I should stick it in the footy forum as the goalposts keep moving. :D
