Hello.
I saw that there are some new channels on sirius 4.8 E,
12718 V, 23500.

I found the info at _http://se.kingofsat.net/sat-sirius4.php
Strange that this transponder doesn't exist at
_http://www.lyngsat.com/sirius4.html

I can´t get any signal at all on this transponder. All the other ones seems to work great on Sirius.

So is it the kingofsat.net site that has bad info or do i need another LNB or something for the symbol rate 23500?

Lyngsat has some channels on 4.8E, listed at 12719 V 15000, including English Club TV tests, but other channels, on that frequency, are broadcasting in MPEG 4.
What were the names of the channels you were after?

All the MPEG2 on 12.718V are easily available on my Echostar AD3000ip. Should be OK on your Echostar - rescan the TP with the new SR.

All other channels are MPEG4, so you need an HD receiver, or a PC satellite card plus codec able to resolve MPEG4.

The new SR, you mean 15000 ?
I still get nothing :(
But even if channels are broadcasted in MPEG4 I should still get signal on the tp?

23500 is the new SR. Yes, you will get the MPEG2 channels at the bottom of the TP list, but not the MPEG4 ones.

Ok I just got the notification, delayed.
Im having one of those 72 cm.
Hotbird 13E in center and Sirius 4.8 E on sidefeed.

Actually it's not my antenna cause my balcony is in west, so im sharing with a neighbor his antenna.
He´s just watching hotbird so we put a twin lnb in center of the antenna and a single LNB for sirius. I have a diseq switch between hotbird and sirius while my neighbor just has the output from twinlnb directly to his receiver.

I have a high quality 50 m coax cable from his antenna to my home.
But everyhting works great, just except of this transponder.

Strange, as you say you get the other TPs on this satellite. It's certainly a strong signal here in the UK, at least where I am. Can't offer an explanation, as I don't have your Echostar model.

Might it be possible to with a firmware upgrade? is it possible to do this directly from satellite? There is such an option in the receiver but I don't know from what satellite / TP i could download it? Or just a satellite / tp upgrade, somebody knows anything about this?

I can't get a lock on my 80cm here Llew, although it is slightly off beam, a 75cm in Stockholm may be on the small side.

Could be the problem Rolf, just that the OP says he's OK with other TP's :confused
