Well done.
How did you fix the ABS Warning Light (You can't just take the bulb out like we used to do eons ago!)
Good work Martin. I also do all my own work on our cars although I am finding it more and more difficult to do depending on how my back is behaving. The weekend before last I changed a driveshaft and 'P' bush on the Xsara front suspension so it was a good back time. It has been so bad in the past that I couldn't get down on my knees to change the oil and filter though.
I wish I hadn't taken my back for granted when I was younger!
some have the ABS rotor and bearings all mounted on /in the rear disk assembly....what can be a nightmare sometimes.....!......
...oh and the test is valid for two years...
There were (possibly still are) moves afoot to increase the UK test period to two years. The motor trade association was objecting strongly to this claiming that this make cars more unsafe. Does that mean French and German cars are not as safe as British ones?...MOT test is Every 2 years here in Germany.....
Think your downfall was presenting the car for MOT with faulty lighting.
The examiner probably thought bad maintenance what else is wrong with this car.
Just my opinion.
Well done for getting it sorted.
Regards

Well we're all of the opposite s_x, if you think about it!
